A Poem by Amy and Hannah

Posted in Books, School, Stuff n Junk at 4:22 PM by Amy~la

Today in Pre AP English 2, we had to write a paragraph or a poem that used an allusion to something. This allusion could reference anything we wanted to, so my partner Hannah and I decided to reference Waldo. This is the poem we wrote.

“Tristan: The Lost Dog”
I’ve lost my dog.
I don’t know what to do.
No one could help me, can you?
He’s harder to find than Waldo.
He’s somewhere in the world like Carmen Sandiego.
What’s that you say?
Look in the hay?
I found my dog.

Now that poem right there took us more than ten minutes to write, because about five of those minutes were spent goofing off and quoting YouTube videos. (The Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged Series to be exact.)

P.S. Today in math class, this guy Caleb walked up to me and said “Amy, I finally get your Yahoo! name. TheBlueTime13, Midnighters! I read it over the weekend. It’s an awesome book.” He said he will start the second book soon. I hope so because I kind of want to talk about those books now. And Tessa still has my copy of Touching Darkness. And maybe Uglies. And I think Maddy has my copy of Pretties. I need my books back.

No Sleep? Maybe.?

Tonight I am conducting an experiment. I am staying up, as late as I can, and seeing if I will be okay at school tomorrow. It’s not smart, but I am bored and not tired. And I need to watch more Yu-Gi-Oh. Curse Maddy for getting me hooked on that show!

EDIT! I stayed up until 2 am and I think it was a good idea. I wasn’t tired at school and I was even more alert than normal. Maybe I should go to bed at that time more often. (The word bed looks like a bed.)

School starts here on Tuesday. School sucks.

Final Results :D

Posted in School, Stuff n Junk at 5:55 PM by Amy~la

Yesterday I had two finals, French and Chemistry, and I had my AP US History final the other day. Today I got the grades back from all three. In French I got a 99, in AP US History I got an 82 (I thought I failed, so I love that grade), and in Chemistry I got a 96. That means my French grade is still an A, my AP US History grade is still a B, and my Chemistry grade had gone up from a C to a B! (And I also have an A in drama, so I have 2 A’s and 2 B’s.)

Too Much = Three?

Posted in School, Stuff n Junk at 9:12 PM by Amy~la

Last year my mom told me to get involved in my school and with friends and such. So this year I am in the One Act play, I am on the school’s swim team, and I am running for Bling-meister (treasurer) for my church’s Youth group. Now my mom is saying that it is too much. One Act is every weekday until 5, swim team is whenever I am not needed at One Act, and Youth is on Sundays. It’s only three things, it’s not that much. Then again, I am normally only in one activity at a time. Oh well, I can be involved in a lot of stuff. (At least I’m not like my sister who is in three plays right now, and is always at a rehearsal for what seems like 24/7.)

Fight Scene

Posted in School, Stuff n Junk at 5:19 PM by Amy~la

Today in One Act we choreographed the big fight scene. There are little groups of people fighting each other in this big battle. I am a wood nymph fighting a mouse. I am on the Witch’s side. I lose… to a mouse! I like how I lose though. The mouse hit me. I kick the mouse. He stumbles. He hits me. I hit him. He falls. I walk closer to get another hit. He trips me. I lose. I still have the rug burns from rehearsal! But it is so cool. I cannot wait to do this in costume.

High School, or Hogwarts?

Posted in Harry Potter, School at 4:48 PM by Amy~la

There is a message in the girl’s bathroom in my school’s cafeteria. This message says “The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir beware.” There was a conversation between Ron and Fred/George Weasley written on a desk. There was a message said “Join Dumbledore’s Army” written on another desk. There are signs all around school telling people to join Dumbledore’s Army, and that a sign up list is in the Science hallway. There actually is a sign-up list for Dumbledore’s Army in the Science hallway. I have a feeling that my high school is turning into Hogwarts.

New Stage

Posted in School at 9:48 PM by Amy~la

My high school started building an auditorium last year. Its been over a year and it is finally almost finished. Today, after one-act rehearsal, my sister, Renee, and I went into the new auditorium, without permission, and looked around. It is AMAZING! I cannot wait to perform The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on that stage. (And let me just say that the play is a lot different than the movie and the book. Yes, I have read the book.)

Drama and Vegas

Posted in School at 5:11 PM by Amy~la

My drama class is doing a project. We have to be in groups of five and do a lip sync to a song of your choice. My group is doing Waking Up in Vegas by Lady GaGa. We are wearing crazy outfits and wigs and acting all drunk and stuff! It is going to be awesome!!!

I’m an Extra

Posted in School at 9:55 PM by Amy~la

My school is doing the play The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I was cast as an extra in the play. But I actually like that because I don’t have to remember any lines, I still get out of class sometimes, I get to wear wings, and I can wear my “I’m an Extra” shirt to rehearsal. When I found out I was in the play, I was so glad I wasn’t cut. I’m just excited I get to be on stage.

I Hate my School

Posted in School at 4:46 PM by Amy~la

I hate my school. In my fisrt block, drama, there are so many ghetto people and they like to talk about stripping. Then in my second block, French, no one will shut up! I can’t even hear myself think! Then in third block, AP US History, I am sort of failing… sort of… Then in fouth block, Chemistry, I don’t really learn anything because Maddy, Rosa, and Clay are distracting.  And when changing classes, there are too many students to actually move. And it doesn’t help that the main staircase, the largest one, has the smallest door. And the two back staricases that maybe 20 students use have double doors. And don’t even get me started on traffic. It takes FOREVER to get into the parking lot.

Favorites (Sorry AP US History and French)

Posted in School at 8:56 PM by Amy~la

Drama and Chemistry are becoming my two favorite classes. Drama because we get to do fun activities and drama stuff, and Chemistry because Maddy, Rosa, Clay, and Orin are in that class. I haven’t had a class with Rosa, Maddy, or Orin since the 8th grade. (I had Biology last year with Clay, which, ironically, is in the same classroom as my Chemistry class…)

Class Schedule

Posted in School at 9:30 PM by Amy~la

This is my first semester schedule:

1: Drama 1
2: French 1
3: AP US History (aka A PUSH)
4: Honors Chemistry

This is my second semester schedule:

1: Accelerated Math 2
2: Pre AP English 2
3: (Getting it changed so it doesn’t matter)
4: French 2

So there it is. My schedule. (Even though it is way too early for school, but whatever… whatever…)

School? Already???

Posted in School at 10:58 PM by Amy~la

Warning: There is some (intense) cussing in this post *gasp!*
Thursday, August 6 is the first day of school down here in Georgia. What? August 6th!!!!!!! Oh hell no! I am not going to school on August fucking 6th. That is too damn early! School should go back late August/early September, NOT AUGUST 6TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I don’t understand why the fuck we go back to school so damn early. I mean seriously, it is still summer!! It is too hot outside for school, and with the dumb dress code we have, you can’t really wear shorts (unless they are no less then 3 inches above your knee.) So people are going to be going back to school in hot weather, wearing pants and shirts that were made for cooler weather. And you HAVE to change classes outside (all 5 staircases are outside) so you WILL get heat. Can someone change these fucking rules! They suck!!

*I swear I won’t cuss like this again, I’m just really mad*

Today in first block (English) we had an end of the year party. Everyone brought sweets (I brought brownies). I had 3 cups of soda (2 of them were Mountain Dew) 3 cookies, 2 brownies, and a rice crispies treat. My friends Matthew, Jeremy, and Brittany had Monster energy drinks. I’ve never had one and they wanted me to try it. Jeremy gave me the last sip of his, and then I became really really hyper.  I was bouncing in my seat. In second block (gym) I was still hyper. I ran around and spun around and acted hyper. Then I sat down on the bleachers and fell asleep. I crashed so hard it was really funny. Then in third block (civics) I was back to my normal self. Then in fourth block (math) I was talking in a British accent. It was an awesome day.
