Superhero Obsession!!

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes, Useless Info at 4:03 PM by Amy~la

I hate how much I love superheroes. One day during a One Act play rehearsal, we were doing a warm up where 2 people improv, someone not improving yells freeze, the 2 people freeze, the yeller takes the place of one person, and they start an new improv. Well, my sister and another girl were superheroes. They were the Flash and Spiderman. When someone yelled freeze, I said to the two girls, “You can’t mix Marvel and D.C.!” (The Falsh being D.C. and Spiderman being Marvel.) And on Friday night, I was totally obsessed with Smallville. And right now I am watching Batman on ABC Family. And my Halloween costume is Batgirl. HELP ME!!!

The Same Person, or Twins?

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes, Useless Info at 8:53 PM by Amy~la

Today I was watching season one of Smallville, which I recently got on DVD, when I noticed that a character in one of the episodes looks exactly like the guy that played Jimmy Olsen on the same show. I paused my DVD and questioned whether they would chose the same actor for two completely different roles, on two completely different seasons, thinking no one would notice. I then decided that no, they wouldn’t do that. So I looked up who was the guy in season one, and it was Shawn Ashmore. Then I looked up who was Jimmy Olsen, and it was Aaron Ashmore. THEY’RE TWINS!!!!! Really Smallville? Twins playing two completely different roles in two completely different seasons, hoping no one would notice?? That’s almost as bad as killing off a character that isn’t supposed to die. But good thing you haven’t done- wait? They have done that? In the finale of season 8? Ohh.. riiiiiiiiight… They killed Jimmy Olsen. I blame the Ashmore twins.

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 4:03 PM by Amy~la

I got Sam Witwer’s autograph! He was Davis Bloome aka Doomsday on Smallville. I got him to sign my Superman cape and a picture. It was so awesome and I even got a picture with him.

Doc Oc and Showers

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes, Useless Info at 12:26 PM by Amy~la

This morning as I was washing my hair, I had an itch on my neck. This itch made me touch my neck, and that reminded me of Doc Oc from Spider-Man 2. How? Because there is a scene in that movie where Doc Oc touches his neck and finds out that the chip that keeps him in control of the mechanical arms is missing. So then I wondered how Doc Oc showers. Can the arms get wet? Will they get in the way? Then I remembered that he isn’t real. (I still want to know how he showers.)

Christian Bale’s Voice.

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 11:52 PM by Amy~la

I have finally heard the real voice of the awesome Christian Bale. Christian Bale, as you probably know, plays Batman in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He is also in the new movie Public Enemies with Johnny Depp. If you have seen these movies, you haven’t heard Christian’s real voice. He is Welsh and I wanted to hear his real voice. I did a little Googling and I found an old interview of him. His voice is awesome. I love accents and with his awesome looks and the accent, I am hooked. (But seriously, what’s with his Batman voice? All the other actors that played Batman didn’t have that rediculous voice.)

Superheroes are Everywhere

Posted in Harry Potter, Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 12:00 AM by Amy~la

No matter what type of book I read, a superhero is almost always mentioned. I was reading a vampire book and the girl compared her boyfriend to Clark Kent. I was reading a magic book and there was another Superman reference. (That magic book also referenced Harry Potter by saying the girl’s mom didn’t let her read the Harry Potter books.) Right now I am reading a book that could actually happen. There are no vampires and no magic. There is only a car crash that changes the main character’s life. In this book, the boyfriend of the main character says, “Time to activate the Bat Signal.” That, of course, is a reference to Batman. Can’t I get through one book where they don’t mention a superhero? Dang it. I was going to pick up Twilight to get away from the superheroes, but then I remembered the whole “I’ve considered radio-active spiders and kryptonite.”

Jimmy Olsen

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 9:42 PM by Amy~la

So, Smallville is the story of Superman before he was Superman. It has all the characters from the comics and the movies (Clark Kent, Lex Luthor, Lana Lang, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen) and some characters not from the comics (Chloe Sullivan, Tess Mercer). Well, because most of the characters are in the comics and movies, you know who lives and who dies, or so you would think. Jimmy Olsen, photographer for the Daily Planet, friend of Clark Kent and Lois Lane defenatly doesn’t die in the comics. Jimmy Olsen died on Smallville. How could they do that? Well, Jimmy’s younger brother is the Jimmy from the comics and movies. That’s confusing and I don’t like it. Jimmy Olsen shouldn’t have died.

Statistics

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 10:11 PM by Amy~la

In the movie Superman (1978), Superman saves Lois Lane from a helicopter crash. After saving her he says, “I hope this doesn’t put you off flying. Statistically speaking, it’s still the safest way to travel.” In the movie Superman Returns (2006), Superman saves a bunch of people (including Lois Lane) from an airplane crash. After saving them he says, “I hope this doesn’t put any of you off flying. Statistically speaking, it’s still the safest way to travel.” In Smallville season 8, Clark Kent gets in an elevator and Lois Lane says that she will take the stairs. He says, “Statistically this is the safer way to travel.”

I just thought it was cool how the old Superman movie, the new Superman movie, and the TV show about Clark before he was Superman had similar lines.

SA

Posted in Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 8:48 PM by Amy~la

As I was in my room, I realized something. Before I say what I realized, let me tell you what I was doing. I was sitting on my bed, watching Smallville on my laptop. I was also watching Superman Returns on my TV. I was also wearing my Superman cape.  On Smallville, I was crying over Clark Kent’s death, even though I knew he would come back. On Superman Returns, I was laughing about Superman’s death because the doctors were trying to put needles in him, and I was like “He’s Superman! It won’t work.” So, as I was laughing and crying over Kal-el’s death (his Kryptonian name is Kal-el) and wearing my Superman cape, I was like “I have got to stop watching all these superhero movies and TV shows! I’m becoming addicted!” So I ran downstairs (still wearing my cape) and told my mom that I need to be in S.A. Then my  mom was like “Superheroes anonymous?” So I am starting a club! It is called S.A. and the first step in my 12 step program is to admit that superheroes aren’t real. (I don’t know what steps 2-11 are yet, but step 12 is to stop watching superhero movies/TV shows. And since I HAVE to watch the Avengers movie that comes out in 2011, I won’t be on that step until I’m in college!)

What???

Posted in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, Harry Potter, Stuff n Junk, Superheroes at 1:50 AM by Amy~la

I was on MySpace when I saw a little ad next to all the important stuff. It was a large ad space with 4 little text ads. Well, these ads are normally realated to the page you are on, and since my MySpace has a lot of Harry Potter, Twilight and superheroes, those are the ads I see. Well, this was probably the worst Superhero ad for a non-superhero thing. Here is what it said:

Batman’s IQ=106.
Smarter than Batman? Take the Real IQ Test now!

There are a couple of flaws in that advertisement.
Flaw number one: Batman isn’t real
Flaw number two: How do you know the IQ of Batman?
Flaw number three: That quiz has nothing to do with Batman! If it was a Batman quiz I might take it. But it is just another dumb IQ quiz that is going to ask too many personal questions just so I can see how smart I am. I’m on to you Mr. Ad Maker.

So, I’m done going on about that ad. I just thought it was a funny ad…

P.S. I was playing Guitar Hero: World Tour yesterday and I beat Ted Nugent in a guitar battle!
